Shirley B Sponable

Shirley B. Sponable, 98, formerly of Grieme Avenue, Amsterdam, NY; passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 at River Ridge Living Center in Amsterdam.

Born in Amsterdam, NY on August 25, 1923, she was the daughter of Floyd and Gertrude Thoma Borst.

Shirley was married to Richard J. Sponable Sr. on April 2, 1943. Richard passed away February 21, 1998. Shirley was also predeceased by her two sons, her daughter, two brothers, three sisters and a granddaughter.

Shirley is survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, great –great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

It was Shirley’s request that no calling hours or funeral services are held.

Memorial gifts in Shirley’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
