Rita M. Loucks

Rita M. Loucks, 101, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026.

Born in Amsterdam, NY on May 16, 1925, Rita was one of fourteen children of the late Samuel and Concetta Danuche Raiano.

Rita is predeceased by her beloved husband, Warren C. Loucks, and her son, Eddie Loucks.

Rita is also predeceased by her siblings; Alfred Raiano, Anthony Raiano, James Raiano, Raymond Raiano, Cesar Raiano, infant Joseph Raiano, Anna Rizello, Angela Ferlazzo, Virginia Penge, Margaret Walden, Theresa Triola and Mary DeLegge.

She is survived by her sister, Eleanor Brooker and many nieces and nephews.

Rita graduated from St. Mary’s Institute and spent her adult life in Amsterdam, NY. She retired from COLECO Industries and later enjoyed working part time at Montgomery County Office for the Aging and the American Cancer Society.

Rita was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, Amsterdam, NY. where her memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date. 

Memorial contributions in Rita's name may be made to the American Cancer Society a charity of choice.
