Philomena’s radiant personality brightened the world around her, sharing laughter with family and friends. She loved her flower gardens, all kinds of music, and animals, including her beloved dogs and backyard deer that she truly felt were her pets. Phil’s exceptional cooking skills left a lasting impression on many, but her greatest gift was the profound impact on those around her, in particular her beloved “gang” of friends with whom she spent many years traveling and socializing. Dedicated to being a best friend to many, her departure left a void, but her spirit lives on in the hearts she touched.
Her family would like to extend their profound gratitude to the loyal staff at Hillcrest Spring Adult Home and the exceptional staff of Ellis Hospital Pulmonary ward.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Philomena’s family Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 9:00 to 11:00 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 39 St. John St., Amsterdam, NY. Her Funeral Mass will then be celebrated at 11:00 with The Very Rev. O. Robert DiMartinis E.V. officiating.
The Rite of Committal will be held at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Cemetery in the
