Mary P. Treis

Mary “Pat” Treis, 79 of Owego, New York and formerly of Tribes Hill, New York passed away on July 26, 2025, at Wilson Memorial Medical Center in Johnson City, New York following a short illness.

Born in Amsterdam, New York on May 26, 1946, she was the daughter of John N. and Monica G. Whalen Treis.

Mary was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch Senior High School in Amsterdam.

Mary was employed as a clerical worker by the New York State Employee Retirement System in Albany, New York for many years, retiring in 2001.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Monica G. Sharp. She is survived by one nephew, David J. (Lisa) Sharp, and one grand-nephew, Willam Sharp all of Apalachin, New York.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 111 Third Avenue, Tribes Hill, NY 12177.

Visitation will be at church will be from 10:00 a.m. prior to the Funeral Mass
