Marjorie H. Jackson

Marjorie H. Jackson, 95, of Amsterdam, NY passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

Marjorie was born in Amsterdam on May 5, 1930 to Leonard and Irene Nolan Case. She graduated from St. Mary’s Institute and was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, Amsterdam, NY.

She joins her husbands John P. Shandorf (d. October 29, 1972) and Henry A. Jackson (d. March 4, 1990) and is survived by her children: Patrick Shandorf (Evelyn) of West Palm Beach, FL, Peter Shandorf of Amsterdam, and Marlene Szyzek (Gary) of Fulshear TX: grandchildren: Joshua Knisley, Jarrod Knisley and Michael Syzek. Marjories is also survived by her sister, Elizabeth Terwilliger and several nieces and nephews.

Marjorie was also predeceased by her brother Richard Case and sister Mary Flint.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 26, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Amsterdam, NY.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Marjorie's family at the church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the funeral Mass.

Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

In liieu of flowers, memorial donations in Marjorie's name may be made to St. Mary's Church, 156 E. Main St., Amsterdam, NY 12010
