Margaret “Peggy” Nixon formerly from Gloversville, NY where she resided with her daughter, entered into eternal rest on November 16, 2025. She was a patient at the Wilkinson Residential Facility for the past 6 weeks due to illness.

Peggy was born November 30,1939 in Somerville, Massachusetts. She spent her teenage years in Fort Johnson, NY and was a graduate of Wilbur H Lynch Senior High School. Peggy loved being a mother and was very active in all of her children's activities. She was a big part of 4H with her daughters, first with the Rootin Tootin Sisters and then later helped start the Hagaman Hot Cakes chapter. She volunteered in the PTA, Cub Scouts and the sports activities that her children participated in.

Peggy worked as a teacher's aide for Amsterdam School District working with Children with developmental disabilities. She later went to work for Liberty Enterprises for many more years. She loved helping to support the people at Liberty in both the residential and day programs. She was a kind and caring woman who wanted to continue caring for people even after she retired from Liberty so she went to work as a personal care aide until the age of 75 helping people with dementia who were living at home.

Peggy had many interests including gardening and was a part of the Canajoharie Garden Club for many years. She enjoyed a good cup of coffee especially when visiting with friends and family. She loved to talk to people while drinking her coffee.

Peggy was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved her family greatly. She will be missed by many.

She is survived by her three children, Glenn Michael Nixon from Rochester, NY, Phyllis Campo (Ralph) from Clover, South Carolina, and Debbie Frascatore from Gloversville, NY. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Nicholas Campo, Joseph Campo, Dominic Campo, Nathan Frascatore, Taylor Frascatore, and Leah Frascatore. She has 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by her sister Rose Miller (Lois Needham) from Syracuse, NY whom she loved very much. She was predeceased by her beloved brother Barry Miller.

Peggy loved the Lord and it gives her family comfort knowing she is now at peace.
