Kevin "Casey" Boyd

Kevin “Casey” Boyd, 68, of Chapel Place, Amsterdam, passed away at home on Monday, June 23, 2025.

Casey was born in Amsterdam on August 6, 1956 to the late James and Doris Sisario Boyd.

A graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch Senior High School, Casey went on to enjoy his career in print media. He retired from Montgomery County as senior printing composer.

Casey was a talented cartoonist and caricature artist with a unique style that was immediately recognizable. He was dedicated member and past president of the Irish-American Club and bowled on the club team, Shamrock A.C.

In addition to his parents, Casey was predeceased by his siblings, Larry Boyd and Donna Stewart.

Casey is survived by his two daughters, Brittney (Logan) Patton, Houston, TX and Courtney (Chris) Butkereit, Schenectady, NY, five grandchildren; Alexa, Theo, Aedan, Coraline, and Imogene.

A memorial gathering will be held in early fall. Please look back for future updates.
