Janis B. Politsch from Fort Johnson, NY passed away at her home on 9/26/23 after a brief illness. She was born on 11/29/57 in Deerfield Beach, Florida to Elizabeth and John Politsch.
She attended Florida schools and later Gloversville schools. She was active in drama, singing, ballet, girl scouts, and athletics during her years in Florida. Janis also pursued modeling as both a hair and fashion model in Upstate New York. In recent years Janis loved cooking and entertaining friends and family as well as feeding the birds outside her window. She had strong faith and listened to Christian Radio daily, wrote in her diary, loved thrifting and estate sales, traveling and special TV programs such as “The Voice.” She enjoyed the music of Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley and loved her morning coffee by the flowers. Her day was structured and worked on keeping her home beautiful. She loved reflecting on her day and called it “dream time” where she would reflect on life and family. She was soft spoken even during difficult times and was always willing to help those in need. She was like a second mom to many of her sons’ friends. Her humor and quick wit will be greatly missed.
Janis leaves behind her beloved sons, Adam Bido (Jenna) and Lawrence Cotromano (Vanessa) along with her precious granddaughters Maria Curtis, Viviana and Gisella Bido. Her dear grandson Tony Cotromano
