Glenn O. Nixon, 91, of Petoff Gardens, Town of Mayfield, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025.
Glenn was born on December 27, 1933 in Westerman, Ohio to the late Harley E. and Zola V. Smith Nixon.
He worked as a meat cutter for Grand Union in Northville.
Glenn served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.
He was a very active member of Pilgrim Holiness Church, Northville He taught Bible study at home and Sunday school at church. He loved the outdoors and coached girls softball in Hagaman, and was Scoutmaster of Troop 37, Hagaman. He was also a volunteer firefighter with the Hagaman Volunteer Fire Department. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family.
Glenn is survived by his son Glenn M. Nixon ofRochester, NY and daughters Phyllis Campo (Ralph) of Clover SC. and Deborah Frascatore (Gregg) of Gloversville, NY. sisters Merna Jackson and Kerry Laird, both of Ohio, his grandchildren: Nicholas Campo, Joseph Campo, Dominic Campo, Nathan Frascatore, Taylor Frascatore, Leah Frascatore and eight great-grandchildren
He was predeceased by his brothers, Darrel and Nolan Nixon.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 7, 2025 at from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m at Riley Mortuary, 110 Division St., Amsterdam, NY followed by a funeral home service which will be begin at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
