Virginia Adams

Virginia R. Adams, 95, of St. Paul Street, Amsterdam, NY, passed away Sunday morning March 16, 2014 at River Ridge Living Center, Amsterdam.

Born on September 9, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Angelina Bottisti Elmy.

Virginia received her education in the Amsterdam school system.

Virginia was formerly employed as a Chambermaid at Valley View motor Inn in Amsterdam.

Virginia was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Amsterdam; she was also a member of the Christian Woman’s Society of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

Virginia is survived by her brother, Alfred Elmy (Grace) of Amsterdam. Several nieces and nephews also survive Virginia.

She was also predeceased by four sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 at the Riley Mortuary, Inc. 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY.12010.

Interment will follow at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Amsterdam

A calling hour will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00.
