Tyler S. Agosta

Tyler Stewart Agosta, 31, of 85 Chapel Place passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 19, 2024. He was born on August 25, 1992, in Amsterdam, New York to Mark S. Agosta and Amy L. Agosta (Budinas).

Tyler graduated from Amsterdam High School and continued his education at Fulton Montgomery Community College. He went on to become a skilled carpenter and was widely respected for his work ethic (which began at a young age) and experience learning from his father as well as many others in the field along the way.

A social butterfly, he truly loved being with family, friends and people in general. He always had a warm welcoming smile that could light up a room. He loved music (mixing his own at times) and was known to get on the dancefloor on occasion. He was a lover of the outdoors and extreme sports, Tyler found great enjoyment in snowboarding and recently became reunited with his passion for motocross at Royal Mountain MX. Along with his family, Tyler was a die-hard Arizona Cardinals fan and enjoyed family time throughout the football season and Sunday family meals.

Tyler had a special place in his heart for the love and care for all animals, and found much comfort from the family cat, Luna.

Above all, Tyler loved his family and friends, especially his parents Mark and Amy Agosta, sister Stevie Nicole Agosta of Texas, brother Collin Arthur Agosta of Amsterdam, and beloved nephew Giovanni Monreal of Texas. Joining them in carrying on Tyler’s legacy are his uncles, James (Debra) Agosta of Arizona, Mark Pacillo of Amsterdam, his aunts, Gail (Grayling) Pacillo- Wiley of Florida, Sheree (Ramon) Fernandez of California, grandfather Arthur Agosta (Arizona), many great aunts, great uncles and cousins as well as the Centi-Dygon family who he considered to be a second family.

Tyler is predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Gloria (Stewart) Agosta, maternal grandparents, Helene & Vincent Budinas, as well as his great-grandparents, Nellie and Irving Stewart, Mildred and Arthur Agosta, Mary Weil-Sheckton and his uncle William Pacillo.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family on Friday March 1, 2024 at Riley Mortuary, 110 Division St., Amsterdam, NY 12010.

In lieu of flowers, Tyler’s family wishes for donations to be made to the Montgomery County S.P.C.A 1232 NY-5S, Amsterdam, NY 12010 or a charity of choice.
