Thomas Rosler

Thomas C. Rosler, Sr., 66, of County Highway 107, Town of Perth, NY, passed away Sunday June 7, 2015 at home.

Born in Honesdale, PA, on August 30, 1948, he was the son of the late Frank and Faith Balles Rosler.

Tom received his education and graduated from Honesdale Catholic High School.

He was employed at Bekins Van Lines in Burnt Hills, NY, until his retirement.

Tom was a United States Navy veteran, serving aboard the U.S.S. Barry Destroyer during the Vietnam War the form 1966 to 1972.

Tom was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Broadalbin, NY.

He was a member of the Artisan Lodge #84 F & AM in Amsterdam and Robert Lee Walsh American Legion Post 337 in Broadalbin, NY.

Tom is survived by his wife of 46 years, Claire A Tarkett Rosler whom he married April 12, 1969, one daughter, Jennifer Romeyn (Daniel) of Gloversville, NY; one son Thomas C. Rosler Jr., (Heather) of Mayfield, NY; two brothers, Michael Rosler, Jeffrey Rosler (Karen) and one sister, Mary Lynn Minnich (Darrell) all of Honesdale, PA; two granddaughters, Jacalynn Romeyn of Albany, NY and Juliana Rosler of Mayfield, NY. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

It was Tom’s request, he be cremated and entombment take place at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery Thursday morning at 10:30. Those wishing to follow in procession should be at the mortuary by 9:15.

Calling hours are Wednesday from 4 to 6 at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010.

Memorial gifts in Tom’s name may be made to Robert Lee Walsh American Legion Post 337, 19 N. Main Street, Broadalbin, NY 12025.
