Stephen Lawyer

Stephen C. Lawyer, 39, of Darlene Drive, Fort Johnson, NY; passed away Wednesday morning May 30, 2012 at St. Mary’s Healthcare in Amsterdam, NY, after a brief illness with his loving family by his side.

Born in Amsterdam, NY; on October 19, 1972, he was the son Charles and Doris J. Shields Lawyer.

Stephen attended Liberty Day Treatment and was very interested in listening to music.

Stephen was a parishioner and communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Amsterdam, NY.

Stephen is survived by his mother Doris J. Lawyer and her companion John Morris of Johnstown, NY; his father, Charles Lawyer of Watervliet, NY; one brother, Tirrell Lawyer of Watervliet, one sister, Karen L. Lawyer of Johnstown, and two nephews, Tyler J. Lawyer and Chano J. Cross both of Johnstown.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated on Friday morning June 1, 2012 at 9:15 at St. Mary’s Church 156 East Main Street, Amsterdam, NY.

Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fort Johnson, NY.
There are no calling hours.

Stephen’s family wishes to thank Liberty ARC and the staff at Darlene Drive for all their care and love while Stephen resided there. A special thank you to Dr. Nancy Knudsen, and the Nurses and staff of the ICU at St. Mary’s Healthcare.
