Shirley Cwiakala

Shirley J. Cwiakala, 80, of Vertucci Lane, Amsterdam, NY; passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY.

Born on July 13, 1936 in Gloversville, NY, she was the daughter of the late George Snow and Eva Bovee.

Shirley was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time and traveling with her family.

Shirley is survived by Bruno Cwiakala and her four daughters, Deborah Lampkin (Kenneth) of Punta Gorda, FL; Gail Weigel of Edinburg, NY; Michele Cwiakala of Amsterdam, NY; and Carol Cwiakala of LaGrange, GA; three sisters, Arlene Robinson, Ethel Sanborn (Arthur) and Margaret Risucci (Roco), six grandchildren, Jeffrey Lampkin, Kelly Durakovic (Meki), Joshua Cwiakala, Matthew Weigel (Nicole), Ryan Grab and Erin Hurst (Wes), six great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Shirley was also predeceased by three brothers, Irving Colby Jr., Donald Colby and Clyde Colby.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning June 9, 2017 at 11:00 at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY, with the Rev. Bonnie Orth officiating.

Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Tribes Hill, NY.

Relatives and friends are invited to call prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. at the Riley Mortuary.
