Ruth Reinhart

Ruth Reinhart, 83, of Pineview Commons, Johnstown, NY, passed away Monday morning October 12, 2015 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY.

Born in Starkville, NY on October 14, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Henrietta Nye Miller.

Ruth received her education in Montgomery County Schools and worked as a seamstress at Mohawk Dress Company and at Amsterdam Memorial Hospital in the laundry department.

Ruth was a member of the Woman’s Wednesday night Bowling League at Pin Haven Lanes in Amsterdam, NY.

Her husband, Kenneth Reinhart to whom she married June 10, 1949, passed away March 18, 1994. Ruth is survived by one son, Allen Reinhart of Mayfield, NY, four daughters, Lorraine (Andrew) Corapi of Lake Mills, WI; Christine Van DeBogart and her companion James Stubblefield of Galway, NY; Erna (Shane) VanAcker of Jefferson, WI; and Robin (Darryl) Foland of Galway, NY, two brothers, Otto Miller and Richard Miller both of Canajoharie, NY and FL; one sister, Linda Campbell of Fort Hunter, NY, eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ruth was also predeceased by her son, Kenneth Reinhart, two brothers, Helmuth and Alfred Miller and two sisters, Marie Phillips and Dorothy VanAernum .

Cremation was held at Park View Crematory in Schenectady, NY.

A memorial service will be held Thursday morning at 12:00 noon at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010.

Inurnment will take place at Charleston Four Corners Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
