Robert J. Loucks

Robert J. Loucks, 77, of Wall Street, Amsterdam, NY; passed away Wednesday June 16, 2021 at Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility in Amsterdam.

Born in Amsterdam on July 1, 1943, he was the son of the late Jack and Bernadine Dybas Loucks.

Bob received his education in the Amsterdam school system and was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School. He also received his Associates Degree in Applied Science from Fulton – Montgomery Community College in Johnstown, NY.

Bob was an honorably discharged United States Air Force veteran of the Viet Nam Era, serving from 1962 to 1966.

Bob was a former counselor for Montgomery Transitional Services in Amsterdam

Bob was a member of Lorenzo’s softball team in the Amsterdam Recreation League for many years.

He is survived by three brothers, Richard, Jack and Jim Loucks, many nieces and nephews and former wife, and dear friend, Karen Horton, brother-in-law, Kevin Drobish and sisters-in-law, Joanne, Debbie and Marlene.

Bob was also predeceased by two brothers, Tom and Marty Loucks and a sister, Claudia Drobish.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning, June 21, 2021 at 11:00 at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010, with Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis officiating.

Interment will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Amsterdam, NY

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Riley Mortuary from 9:00 to 11:00 prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
