Robert F. Courtois

Robert F. Courtois Jr. 61, of Gloversville, NY; passed away September 11, 2023 at home.

Born in Worcester, MA on January 29, 1962, he was the son of the late Robert F. and Mary Morrissey Courtois Sr.

Bob received his education in the Amsterdam school system and was a 1980 graduate of Amsterdam High School and was employed at Janitronics, commercial cleaning in Albany, NY.

Bob was an honorably discharged United States Navy veteran, serving from 1981 to 1985.

Bob was a life member of the Fort Johnson Volunteer Fire Department and where he served as 3rd Assistant Chief for several years.

Bob is survived by three sisters, Deborah Bechtel (Kevin), Michelle Courtois all of Amsterdam, NY and Susan Sinda of Gloversville, NY; two brothers, Michael J. and William G. Courtois both of Guilderland, NY. One aunt and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial gathering Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY and where a prayer service will be held at 6 p.m.

Private interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fort Johnson, NY.
