Peter Paige

Peter C. Paige, 81, of Fort Johnson, NY, passed away Tuesday evening, October 3, 2017 at Mountain Valley Hospice in Gloversville, NY.

Born in Amsterdam, NY on March 26, 1936, he was the son of the late Warren H. and Helen B. Stark Paige.

Pete received his education in the Amsterdam school system and graduated from Wilbur H. Lynch High School.

Pete retired as an Aircraft Mechanic Supervisor from the New York Air National Guard 109th Airlift Wing in Schenectady, NY.

Pete was a member of the Air National Guard Alumni Association, Bigelow Weavers Club in Amsterdam, Loyal Order of Moose, Johnstown Lodge 1185, Elks Lodge 101 Amsterdam and Robert Lee Walsh American Legion Post 337, Broadalbin, NY.

Pete is survived by his wife, Beverly. They recently celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on September 28, 2017. Pete is also survived by one daughter, Colleen Paige of Dunedin, FL; two sons, Eric Paige of Perth, NY, and George Paige (Melissa) of Wells, NY; one sister, Sue Mancini of Columbus, NJ; five grandchildren, Brianna Paige of Miami, FL; Nicole Zarelli of Philadelphia, PA; James Mattice of Rotterdam, NY; Stacy Ralph of Wells, NY and Tammy Allan of Perth, NY and eight great grandchildren. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
