Patrick Coppolo

Patrick A. Coppolo, 55, of Main Street, Rotterdam Junction, NY, passed away Friday afternoon May 2, 2014 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY.

Born in Utica, NY, he is the son of Patsy and stepson of Joan Coppolo and son of the late Katherine Coppolo.

Pat received his education in the Duanesburg school system.

He was last employed as a superintendant of heavy equipment operators for Delaney Construction in Mayfield NY.

Pat was a United States Army veteran serving from 1978 to 1982.

Pat was a member of the Rotterdam Junction Volunteer Fire Department, the Knotty Pine Dart League and was very involved with Delaney Motorsports Racing Team.

Pat is also survived by his wife, Mary Lou Remillard Coppolo at home, three sons, Jason Coppolo (Tara) of Schoharie, NY; Thomas Coppolo of Las Vegas, NV; and Joshua Coppolo of Schenectady, NY; one daughter, Jenna Coppolo and her companion Justin Brown of Amsterdam, one brother Joseph Coppolo (Jeannette) of Duanesburg, NY; one sister, Kirsten Cunio of California, five grandchildren, Josiah, Averie, Justin, Luciana and Arabelle. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 at the Riley Mortuary, Inc. 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY, followed at 11:00 by a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated at St. Margaret of Cortona Church, 1228 Main Street, Rotterdam Junction, NY, 12150.

Interment will follow at Woestina Cemetery, Rotterdam Junction.

Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Riley Mortuary.
