Mary Morini

Mary S. Morini, 93, of Lindbergh Avenue, Amsterdam, NY; passed away Thursday afternoon November 20, 2014 at Wilkinson RHCF in Amsterdam.

Born in Baltimore, MD on July 9, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary Ellen Holland Sullivan.

Mary received her education in the Baltimore school system and was a homemaker.

Mary was a parishioner and communicant of St. Mary’s Church. Mary was an active member and past president of St. Mary’s Institute PT. She was also a member of St. Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary, Antlers Country Club and the Century Club.

Mary is survived by her husband, Dr. Alfred J. Morini Sr., whom she married April 24, 1943, two daughters, Jacqueline Bresonis (Bill) of Amsterdam, NY; Jody Enten (Bob) of Baltimore, MD; two sons, Dr. Alfred J. Morini Jr. (Barbara) of Amsterdam and Thomas Morini (Martha) of Derry, NH; one brother, Thomas Sullivan of Baltimore, MD; twelve grandchildren, Katie McKee (John), Patrick Bresonis (Julie), John Bresonis (Martha) and Maggie Stoughton (Mark); Alex Enten (Menaka) and Caroline Enten; Dr. Chelsea Morini, Megan and Brian Morini; Hannah, Julia and Thomas Morini and four great grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan, Abigail and Emily. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:15 at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY; followed at 11:00 by a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, 156 East Main Street, Amsterdam.

Interment will follow at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Amsterdam.

Calling hours are Sunday from 4 to 7 at the Riley Mortuary.
