Marco Mendoza

Marco E. Mendoza, 61, of Jackson Street, Amsterdam, NY, passed away Sunday evening, April 30, 2017 at St. Mary’s Healthcare in Amsterdam.

Born in Colombia, South America on April 12, 1956, he is the son of Nicanor E. Mendoza Sr. and the late Alicia I. Rodriguez Mendoza who passed away on June 4, 2002.

Marco received his education in the New York City school system and was last employed as a truck driver for Star City Transportation in New York Cities Garment District.

Along with his father, Marco is survived by his wife, Magdalena “Maggie” D. Silva Mendoza, one daughter, Jasmine Oshields Morales, two brothers, Javier Mendoza (Leticia) and Nicanor E. Mendoza Jr., two daughters, Delfina Sherillo (Phil) and Alice Mendoza, four grandchildren, Isabella, Skyler, Brooke and Sophia, two special nieces, Julissa Rodriguez and Beatrice Badillo, several other nieces and nephews, Marco is also survived by his pet dogs and especially Mamita.

Cremation will take place at Park View Crematory in Schenectady.

There are no calling hours or funeral services scheduled at this time.
