Larry R. Banta

Larry R. “Neb” Banta, 68, of Amsterdam, NY; passed away Friday, August 25, 2023 unexpectedly.

Born in Amsterdam, NY on June 26, 1955, he was the son of the late Catherine Banta.

Larry was a member of The Schenectady Umpires Association, Bigelow Weavers Club, PAV and several Amsterdam and Gloversville Bowling Leagues.

Larry is survived by his wife, Cheri Bull Banta, his daughter, Brittney Banta, granddaughter, Cassadee Joan and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Amsterdam, with the Rev. Dr. John A. Califano officiating.

Memorial gifts in Larry’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
