Kathleen Glamm

Kathleen A. Glamm, 83, formerly of Henrietta Boulevard, Amsterdam, NY, passed away Thursday afternoon August 28, 2014 at St. Mary’s Healthcare in Amsterdam.

Born in Amsterdam, NY on September 7, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Otto A. and Laura A. Naylon Glamm.

Kathleen received her education in the Amsterdam school system, St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing and the College of St. Rose, Albany, NY, where she received her BA in History and Political Science.

She retired from Montgomery County Infirmary, where she was employed as a Registered Nurse.

Kathleen was a parishioner and communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Amsterdam.

Kathleen is survived by two brothers, Richard G. Glamm (Virginia) of Perth, NY and Paul A. Glamm (Paula) of Austin, Texas and one sister, Laura A. Brown of De Leon Texas, one niece, Laura Gould (Shawn) of Austin, Texas and one nephew, Jason Glamm of Pflugerville, Texas.

Kathleen was predeceased by her brother, Joseph O. Glamm, her sister, Louise E. Glamm and her nephew, Marc Marino.

Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated Tuesday morning September 2, 2014 at 11:00 at St. Mary’s Church, 156 East Main Street, Amsterdam.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:30, prior to the funeral service.


Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fort Johnson, NY.

Memorial contributions in Kathleen’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2 Pine West Plaza, Albany, NY 12205.
