Karen Morrell

Karen S. Morrell, 72, of Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY; passed away October 8, 2017 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady after a brief Illness.

Born in Amsterdam, NY on May 31, 1945, she was the daughter of the late William and Ann Mikolaitis Smith.

Karen’s surviving family includes her husband, John “Butch” Morrell, two sons, Ryan Morrell (Beth), Eric Morrell (Alicia), sister, Diane Santos, grandchildren, Justin, Alexander, Abigail, Andres and her other loving companions, Jerome, Annie and Petey. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial gathering Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon at the Riley Mortuary, Inc. 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010.

It was Karen’s request that casual attire be worn to her memorial gathering.
