Joseph M. McBride, 43, of Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY, passed away Sunday March 5, 2017 at St. Mary’s Healthcare in Amsterdam, NY.

Joe was born in Rockaway Beach Queens, NY on April 18, 1973 and was a graduate of Beach Channel High School in Queens, NY.

Joe was a former employee at both Wal-Mart and Lowe’s department stores in Amsterdam until the onset of his illness.

Joe was predeceased by his mother, Jacqueline Hanley McBride and is survived by his grandmother, Alice Hanley of Walton, NY; two sisters, Patricia “Trish” McBride of East Greenbush, NY and Jacqueline “Jackie” Michalski (Mark V.) of Amsterdam, two nieces, Victoria Fernandez and Olivia Jones and one nephew, Andrew Michalski all of Amsterdam. Many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday March 11, 2017 at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010.

Visitation will continue until 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Joe’s name may be made to New York Oncology Hematology, 1700 Riverfront Center, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
