Jane Karbocus

Jane L. Karbocus, 91, of Academy Street, Amsterdam, NY; passed away Sunday morning July 27, 2014 at home.

Born in Amsterdam on March 19, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Constance Luzen.

Jane was a lifelong resident of Amsterdam and graduated from Wilbur H. Lynch High School, class of 1940. She also graduated from Mildred Elley Business School in Albany, NY.

Jane was employed as a Personal Legal Secretary for the law firm of the late Edward L Wilkinson.

Jane was a former member of St. Casimir’s Church and was a member of the Knights of Lithuania. She was also a sustaining member of St. Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary.

Her husband of 66 years, Anthony Karbocus to whom she married September 28, 1946, survives at home .

Jane is also survived by one son, Robert Karbocus (Kimberly) of Porter Corners, NY; one daughter, Nancy DiCresce (Gary) of Saratoga Springs, NY; two granddaughters, Chelsea Karbocus of San Francisco, CA; and Kira Montayne of Charlton, NY. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

There are no calling hours or funeral services scheduled at this time.

Cremation was held at Parkview Crematory in Schenectady, NY.

A memorial service will be held at a later date and time to be announced
