James Gordon

James W. Gordon, 65 of Lorraine Blvd, Amsterdam, NY; passed away Wednesday evening July 21, 2010 at home.

Jim was born in Troy, NY., on November 9, 1944

He received his education in the Troy school system.

Jim was first employed by Millbrook Bakery, Albany Division and subsequently was a Ready Mix driver for Cranesville Block Company, Inc., of Amsterdam, NY.

Jim was a United States Marine Corp Veteran serving in the Viet - Nam era from 1962 to 1966.

He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 294 in Albany and was also a member of the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by two daughters, Amber Nolan (Michael) of Albany, NY; and Heather Lyon (Miquel) of Sierra Vista, AR; one sister, Vicki Slawienski of Amsterdam, NY; two grandchildren Kevin and Katherine LaValle, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cremation took place at Park View Crematorium in Schenectady, NY.
