Howard Ehrlich 62, of Pine Street, Amsterdam, NY passed away Wednesday afternoon February 1, 2012 at his home.

Born in Staten Island, NY on February 6, 1949, he is the son of Murray and Lillian Levenson Ehrlich of Elmont, NY.

Howard received his education and graduated from Elmont Memorial High School in Elmont, NY. He also received his Bachelor Degree from the State University of Plattsburg NY and his Masters Degree from Long Island University.

Howard was employed as a Tax Clerk for the State of New York in Albany, NY. Prior to his state job he taught special education.

He was a member of CSEA. He also bowled in several local bowling leagues in Amsterdam.

Along with his parents, Howard is also survived by his wife, AnneMarie Voight Ehrlich to whom he married on September I, 1974, one sister, Nancy Katz (Don) of Nashua, NH, one niece, one nephew, four great nieces and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Riley Mortuary, Inc. 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY.

Those wishing to be in the procession on Monday morning for the interment at Schenectady Memorial Park, should be at the mortuary no later than 10:00 o’clock
