Eric Crane

Eric S. Crane, 36, of Mohawk Drive, Tribes Hill, NY; passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017.

Born in Amsterdam, NY on July 14, 1981, he was the son Mary Lou Crane “Loopie” of Tribes Hill, NY, and Melvin Crane of Caroga Lake, NY.

Eric received his education in the Amsterdam school system and graduated from Amsterdam High School in 1999.

Eric was employed, and worked with his brother, at Crane Sealcoating.

Eric was usually the life of the party. He loved making everyone happy and could always get a laugh out of everyone. Eric was a great admirer of Amsterdam Football and an avid Buffalo Bills fan. He also enjoyed reading, history, bowling and spending time with his family.

Eric is survived by his mother and father, one brother, Ryan Crane (Megan) of Amsterdam, his maternal grandparents, Barbara Cavaliere of Amsterdam, NY and Anthony Wohn of Broadalbin, NY; three nephews, Landon, Jace and Abel, two nieces, Kennedy and Brooklyn, half brother, Melvin Crane Jr., and half sister, Amanda Crane, and a great friend and father figure, Tim Quinn “Wheeze”.

Eric was also predeceased by his grandfather, Fred Cavaliere, maternal great grandparents John and Agnes DiLorenzo and Kasmir and Josephine Wohn.

Funeral services will be private, at the request of the family.

Calling hours are Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
