Claire Ann Rosler

Claire Ann. Rosler, 75, of Amsterdam, NY; passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Mountain Valley Hospice in Gloversville, NY.

She was born July 7, 1948 in Honesdale, PA to Claire G. (Hutson) and Russell Tarkett.

Claire received her education in the Honesdale, PA school system and also attended Penn State University.

Claire retired as an office manager from Floquil Products Inc. in Amsterdam, NY.

Claire was united in marriage to Thomas C. Rosler Sr. on April 12, 1969. They shared 46 years of marriage before Thomas passed away on June 7, 2015. She was also predeceased by her brother, Leo Tarkett and her sister, Nancy Kanjorski.

Claire is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Romeyn (Daniel) of Mayfield, NY; her son, Thomas C. Rosler Jr. of Amsterdam, NY; two granddaughters, Jackie Sullivan (William) and Juliana Rosler, great granddaughter, Lily Sullivan, and her sister, Carolyn Burrows (Wesley). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

“For everyone who knew Claire they would describe her as kind, humble, thoughtful, and being well known for her great sense of humor. She had a way of making everyone around her laugh and feel special with her encouraging words.

Claire was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved spending time with her family more than anything and was a great historian of family memories. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, and listening to music. Claire will always be known for her love of Neil Diamond, cats, giving the best cards, and her famous Chex Mix recipe.”

To honor Claire’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Before she passed, Claire said “I want the laughter and joy to always and forever be a part of my memory and my family”.

Inurnment will take place at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery with her husband, Thomas.
