Charlotte C. Sargalis

Charlotte C. Sargalis, 102, formerly of Amsterdam and Northville, NY; died April 14, 2023 at Baptist Health Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Scotia, NY.

Born in Franklin County ,NY; she was the daughter of Alexander and Alice Royal Cosey.

Charlotte was a Registered Nurse and retired from St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam.

She was a former parishioner and communicant of St. Casimir’s Church and a member of the American Lithuanian Club in Amsterdam.

Charlotte was united in marriage to Peter J. Sargalis in 1945. Peter passed away in 1982.

Charlotte is survived by her son, Jon P. Sargalis and his companion, Kate McNairy of Ballston Spa, NY; two sisters, Linda Cosey of Malta, NY and Mary McGarty of Burnt Hills, NY; two brothers, Dave Cosey of Tarville, NC. and John Cosey of So. Granville, NY; one grandson, Jeff Sargalis and many nieces and nephews.

Charlotte was also predeceased by one brother and three sisters.

Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service Wednesday April 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Casimir’s Cemetery in Amsterdam, NY; with the very Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis, E.V. officiating.
