Ann Valdi

Ann Valdi, 83, formerly of Mariaville and Amsterdam, NY; passed away Thursday afternoon May 14, 2015 at River Ridge Living Center in Amsterdam.

Born in Amsterdam on November 2, 1931, she was the daughter of John and Minnie Savacchio Farrell.

Ann received her education at St. Mary’s Institute and Wilbur H. Lynch High School in Amsterdam.

She was employed as an assembler at Ward Products in Amsterdam.

Ann was a parishioner and communicant of St. Mary’s Church.

Ann is survived by one daughter, Kathleen Arrieta (Jeffrey) of Oregon City, Oregon, two sons. Louis Leone of Amsterdam and Thomas Valdi (Lisa) of Schenectady, NY; two loving granddaughters, Nicole Ann Valdi of Schenectady and Marissa Arrieta of Oregon City, her sister-in-law, Philomena Farrell and her brother-in-law, Marshal Spagnola both of Amsterdam. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Ann was predeceased by one brother, Richard Farrell and a sister, Patricia Spagnola.

A funeral service will be held Monday May 18, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Amsterdam.
There are no calling hours.

Ann was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her
